We formed early in 2000 as Blackpool's first Community School of Samba, with funding assistance from Blackpool Challenge Partnership, Blackpool Borough Council and Blackpool Town Centre Forum Ltd. We have since received financial support from the North West Arts Board, and Grassroots, Community Foundation for Lancashire, in 2010.

We are a community band, welcoming local residents of all ages, with or without any previous experience or skills in making music. An ability to read music is not necessary and all musical instruments are supplied; all you need is a sense of rhythm.
We each pay a weekly subscription, with a lower rate for junior and unwaged members.

We perform at a variety of events in Blackpool and across the North-West of England, including many school and community workshops.
We have a steering group, to look after the day to day running of the band and to guide its development.

If you would like to get involved, or have us perform at your event, do please contact us
or come along to a rehearsal session (see diary dates for when and where).
